Installation and maintenance

Clean the groove, shaft or housing and remove burrs, sharp edges and contamination.
Compare the new component with the removed sample and confirm its orientation.
Use a compatible assembly lubricant and protect the sealing edge while passing threads, keyways or ports.
Install without twisting, overstretching or striking the sealing surface.
Start the equipment at low load and inspect for leakage, heat, noise or abnormal friction.
